I just can't seem to wrap my head around playing this game without the guitar. I've tried playing with a controller, and it is not nearly as fun. Would not be surprised if it sold well, though. Also would not be surprised if it sold well to a lot of disappointment on the part of the buyers.

People look for scapegoats where ever they can find them. Since when did we start putting things on a "scale" of this is worse than this? I'm not talking about crime or things of that nature, I'm talking about media (before people get confused, not "news" media, entertainment media).

Media in all shapes and forms, from books to movies to now video games, have pushed the envelope to limits. It is what we do as "artists". Shakespere was criticized a...

Fight Night is a great series. Lots of fun. I don't want a cartoon game; I'm not 12 anymore.

I think they said it has been handed to EA Cananda.

Why would anyone try to match wits with this guy by writing him hate mail? YOU ARE NOT as quick witted, nor are you as clever as he to spout such razor sharp, straight to the heart insults. A true master of invective. I love it!

Your comment struck me as kind of odd. I think Kaz knows a little bit about the video game industry as a whole. I don't he was picked for his position because of his good looks.

I for one agree with his decision, and am sick of hearing everyone whine that "I want it now" like a bunch of bratty kids. If it got released and didn't work correctly, it is these same people who would pound their fists screaming, "why would they put out if it doesn't work right; this su...

I love the colors and originality of this. Truly awesome.

But, I could feel myself getting slightly disoriented just watching the short video. Maybe with a controller in hand it wouldn't be so bad, but I think motion sickness could be a real issue with this game.

I love it though!

It is also simply called free-running.

The article is not written with any bias. It is simply asking the question as to why MS is charging more than other manufacturers of similar equipment. Your comment just makes you sound bitter and you really have no reason to be. Each system have its positives and its negatives. Just because an article is written stating something negative about MS or Xbox360, does not mean it is pro-Sony, it just means that MS is doing something that the author of the article (and perhaps consumers) doesn't ...

That is the concept of making all your products "user friendly". People don't like being told that "either you buy from us or not at all". That in combination with MS pushing their whole "down loads are the wave of the future" idea and they really put their own customers in an awkward position. It's too bad to, because MS is always on the cutting edge of technology. They should be happy to sell their slice of the pie and not try to make us buy the whole thing.

I'm not sure why everyone is jumping on the "well, that says it all; this game is going to suck" bandwagon here. From what was stated in the article, it sounds quite engrossing to me. A few control issues does not constitute a bad game, especially when we are a couple months away from release.

The core problem with his article is his comparison of apples to oranges. He claims to have had a problem learning Madden when his knowledge of the real game was limited. Well, yeah!

He also displays his lack of knowledge in game development by saying that they should just add this or do this to make it easier for casual gamers to play. Well, that takes more development and more money, and in the end, not many "casual" gamers are going to stick around to play through ...

This just goes to show how desperate anti-video game groups are becoming. Nothing truly awful happened with the release of the game, so they just make something up to scare people? Like there isn't enough bad news to report on right now, let's just start creating fictional bad news. Disgraceful.

Another couple points from the article I have a problem with (if it were or is, in fact true):
1 A ten year should not be playing this game - where are his parents?
2 ...

Yes, I do believe games have an effect on people. Yes, basic psychology suggests that exposure to repetitive violence will numb the emotions, thus creating a person who can commit violent acts with out remorse. And yes, I will even go so far as to say that some violent crimes probably have been committed because of over exposure to games such as GTA.

That being said, this more a matter of a societal sickness of "get it all while you can, it doesn't matter what you have to ...

I'm a "westerner" and I love RPGs of all kinds. I also like shooters, action games, sports games, ect. But RPGs are my real passion (if I get the time to dedicate to them). Some people don't get RPGs in general or just like more action / less story, that's their right. You obviously don't like FPSs, that's your right.

The article is written by one person expressing an opinion which, if you read the other comments, is not being supported by many of the "westerners...

The writer even managed to prove himself wrong in his own article. The only comparison that showed a substantial difference in sales in the Japan vs American market was Crisis Core in the first month. Besides that, the market in the two countries was fairly equal. Sure, the spin-offs don't do as well as the originals, but isn't that about the same for any market? Don't movie sequels (in general) do worse than the original? Certainly didn't prove anything to me.

I will make my decision on who to vote for when the debates come around and the candidates have been decided on.

That being said, it is nice to see a politician acknowledge the video game industry for what it truly is, an industry! A very large and powerful form of legitimate media that can not be ignored or simply labeled as "bad" and then stamped out.

I am just starting (actually with GTAIV's release) to see media and politicians giving games the pro...

All these spin-offs did not get the time and development of the other, true FFs. The spin-offs are a way for SE to get a little more cash out of the gamer who is really into FFVII and FFX. I'm not saying that as a negative thing; hey, they have a business to run and if they make some money on these sequels, all the power to them.

It just seems to me that they (SE) don't put the time and energy into these sequels, they certainly did not get the same treatment as FFXIII. I'm sur...

You make it sound like they made a huge mistake. From where they are standing, it is the most profitable "mistake" in history!

Besides, I think most adult / mature gamers go to where the games and tech are; the system that will bring the most enjoyment. Most mature gamers are not hard core fan boys. I've owned all three Sony machines, but I am not a die hard Sony fan. I was very close to buying a 360 until I began really looking at MS's product versus Sony's. I felt S...
